Countryside Break for Couples – Our Cottages
Our three luxuriously spacious barn conversion holiday cottages are dog friendly and their comfortable furnishings make for a luxury countryside break for couples with all your creature comforts to hand. Two of the cottages sleep up to 4 guests and the larger farmhouse sleeps up to 6. Surrounded by forest tracks and hills, these cottages are perfectly placed to be couples retreats in Wales or quiet getaways for couples in the UK.
The main farmhouse can host up to 6 people and is a brilliant choice for families or larger groups with two bathrooms and also a big living room area equipped with a large dining table. The farmhouse has 2 large rooms on the top floor, one with a super king-sized bed and the other with a king. Each room has its own en-suite bathroom. There is space for two fold-away beds in the sitting room area downstairs, this is suitable for any children staying. On the ground floor there is a beautiful recently-improved living area complete with a log burner. The eating area and kitchen is open and has a fridge freezer and electric stove to go with the large dining table. Heating is via a woodburning aga.
The Alpine cottage has a beautiful newly renovated interior and, due to it’s placement, looks out on some spectacular forest views. The main room in the cottage is arranged as a mezzanine eqquiped with a super king bed which overlooks the rest of the barn. The cottage is marvellously styled with oak beams, persian rugs, and an open living area with a woodburning stove encircled by sofas. this cottage is full of charm and character and, full of interesting books will be a gem for the enthusiactic reader!
As the name suggests, Forest View Barn is also positioned to take full advantage of the glorious views over our beautiful surrounding landscape. The cottage is a stunning converted cow shed and as you walk into the cottage you will spot the A-frame glass end which really makes one feel as if they are in the heart of the forest and encircled by trees and flora. The cottage has it’s very own private garden equipped with outdoor furniture and is a great place for BBQ’s or just enjoying a meal al fresco! You are sure to be close to nature in this cottage so make sure you set some time aside in the evenings top simply appreciate the peaceful surroundings. The main bedroom in the cottage has an ensuite bathroom and has comfortable zip and link king beds which can also be structured as single beds if preferred. The self-catering is provided by a recently renovated galley kitchen which includes a wood burning stove which allows you to choose whether you’d like to cook/heat the cottage more traditionally. In addition, there are electric radiators and an electric cooker. The family room has a pine table seating 4, a window facing desk, and 2 big sofa beds which open as king doubles. Finished with Persian rugs, books and paintings, this really is a cosy cottage!

Styled and decorated individually each of our shepherd huts sleeps two and is sure to provide a unique experience for those that stay there.
Nadine – A French styled shepherds hut this really makes for a picturesque and enchanting accommodation in Wales. Nestled in the Cambrian mountains and positioned in a quiet spot on the Llethrau estate, this hut is truly a rare gem that gives any glamping experience a new twist. Privee to beautiful views over the rural surroundings, the Nadine Shepherds Hut is a self-catering accommodation and with its hand-painted ceilings and rustic yet comfy interior, this really does make a romantic destination for a couples retreat in Wales. Cyclists and walkers will be spoiled for choice with plenty of tracks and paths meandering through the forest and mountains. Alternatively, you can just grab a glass of wine and enjoy the spectacular sunsets.
Shanti – An Indian styled Shepherds Hut, this accommodation makes a great choice for those looking for quiet getaways for couples in the UK. The interior of the hut is furnished with recovered antique items and a woodburning stove. It is finished with a real traditional wooden floor and ethnic colours/patterns. The hut has its own kitchen with hob, microwave, fridge and sink. There is also a private bathroom at the end of the hut and equipped with power shower and heated towel rales.
Cowboy – The final Shepherds hut is the latest addition to the collection and has been styled with a Western Cowboy feel in mind. The entire hut has been clad with larch and has a big larch deck spread out in front of it, perfect for al fresco dining, BBQ’s or drinks in the sunset! On the inside, there is an antique oak floor and the entire hut is clad with beautiful recovered timber. A fitted king-sized bed and a pull out single mattress make up the sleeping area.

Tree House View and Nomad – Placed across the valley from all of our communal facilities and holiday cottages, these 14ft yurts sit on around 24ft of decking. The beautiful decking made from wood we have milled ourselves from Llethrau positions the Yurts to look out over the surrounding forest. The soft sound of the bubbling stream adds to the romantic atmosphere. Outdoors there are hammocks and outdoor tables that will let you make the most of the views and weather. Inside the Yurts, comfy king-sized beds, log burners, electric heaters, cupboards and tables are styled ina minimalist manner. a lovely peaceful escape or a last-minute getaway, let yourself relax and enjoy a one of a kind glamping stay!
Our Forest Couples Retreat in Wales

On the Llethrau estate you will discover 20 acres of completely natural British forest, adorned with walks and paths to be explored. On top of this, there is 4 acres of wild gardens. There is plenty of British flora and fauna to spot on the estate and set in the Cambrian mountains (1200ft) with a river running through, the valley really is fantastic for those looking for romantic getaways in Wales.
