Secret Getaways in the UK – Our Cottages
We have three luxuriously spacious barn conversion holiday cottages with two sleeping up to 4 guests and the larger farmhouse up to 6. We have a pets allowed policy for all of our cottages and with the surrounding countryside, these houses really do make some of the best dog-friendly breaks in the UK.
The main farmhouse can accommodate up to 6 people and makes a great choice for larger groups or families with 2 bathrooms and a large living area equipped with a big dining table. The cottage has two huge rooms on the top floor with 1 super king bed and the other a king. Both have their own en-suites with the principle room having a beautiful bath and the other room a little shower and loo. There is space for 2 fold out beds in the private sitting room downstairs which would be ideal for kids. Downstairs there is a lovely recently embellished living territory with a log burner. The kitchen/eating area is an open arrangement and has a huge dining table, fridge freezer and new electric stove. Heating is via a woodburning aga.
Our Alpine cottage plays host to a fantastic newly renovated interior and looks out on some superb forest views. Our pet friendly Holiday Cottage has a primary room that is arranged on a mezzanine which looks out on the barn. The bungalow has a sumptuous super king bed. The special Holiday Cottage has oak beams, Persian rugs, an open to living space with sofas around a wood burning stove and is loaded with characterful art and a true treasure trove for the enthusiastic reader.
Our self-catering Holiday Cottage, Forest View Barn is a stunning converted cow shed. As you stroll into the cabin you will see the A-frame strong glass end, causing you to feel like you’re in the forest that encompasses you. This gives a peaceful feel to sit, switch off and relax surrounded by trees and other flora. The Holiday Cottage has a private garden appropriate, with outside furniture for meals and BBQ’s. You will be close to nature in an ideal relaxing escape and rustic retreat so set aside some effort to unwind and appreciate the environment. The main room with ensuite restroom has a comfortable zip and link king bed which can likewise be made up as two singles if you choose. A recently renovated little galley kitchen for all your self-catering needs, including a wood-burning stove so visitors can decide to cook and warm the structure all the more traditionally. Nadine – This French-style Shepherds Hut makes for an enchanting and lovely picturesque destination in Wales. In a stunning location, settled in the Cambrian Mountains. Positioned in a detached spot on the Llethrau Estate, this wonderful shepherds cottage is a rare jewel that gives a glamping experience in an extraordinary self-catering accommodation tucked in a countryside and forest setting. The Nadine Shepherds Hut has great views over the rich greenery and rolling slopes and is enriched with hand-painted work of art across the ceilings. Walkers and cyclists will be spoilt for choice, as the surrounding land has a wide selection of walking tracks and trails, far off the beaten track. Or perhaps just set out a glass of wine and watch the world pass by as the sunsets.
Shanti – This Indian styled Shepherds Hut makes for an enchanting and beautiful holiday with your other half in Wales (Powys) and settled in the Cambrian Mountains. Inside the Shepherds Hut is furnished with recovered antique pieces, a traditional wooden floor, ethnic colours and patterns and a warming wood-burning stove. It has its own kitchen with hob and microwave, fridge and sink and its own private bathroom at the end of the Shepherds hut equipped with power shower and heated towel racks.
Cowboy – Our latest Shepherds Hut has a Cowboy and Western feel. The entire Shepherds Hut is clad with larch, and tucked up in the wood with a big larch decking in front of it, where visitors can sit out, eat, and appreciate a BBQ. We believe it’s a genuinely luxury break and a special home stay. Inside the Shepherds Hut there is an antique oak floor and the whole hut is clad with recovered timber. A huge fitted king sized bed with a pull out single makes up the sleeping area for your glamping experience which can be shared with a canine friend if you wish.
Nature Breaks in the UK – Our Yurts
Tucked away in the Llethrau forest, our Yurts really do provide the perfect forest retreat in the UK
Tree House View and Nomad – Positioned across the valley from the Communal Facilities and our Holiday Cottages these incredible 14ft Tree House Yurts sit on a 24ft decking development utilizing wood that has been milled by us from our own forest. At the front it sits about 15ft high. You feel as though you are in a tree house watching out over a valley of tree tops. With the delicate sound of the stream somewhere out there these make the ideal forest escape holiday. Outside the Yurts there are hammocks and outdoor tables. Inside the Yurts there are comfy king sized beds, log burners, electric heaters, cupboards and tables and each is decorated in a minimalistic style. An ideal peaceful escape or last second getaway, allow yourself to unwind and appreciate a one of a kind glamping break.
